Blue Ocean recently partnered with House of Ruth and volunteered to help their upcoming Gowns Galore event. Blue Ocean brought in donation items and happily provided a monetary contribution to this great cause!
Blue Ocean wanted to do a donation drive for House of Ruth, so they provided a list of items they need. Some of these items included bottles of water, coloring books, feminine hygiene products, and small backpacks. Eight participants from the Blue Ocean team met at the House of Ruth sorting center where, together, we sorted donations and worked at their retail shop, which supports the shelter. We worked on differing projects in the warehouse, and we helped to sort supplies.
“This was a fantastic event. It felt great giving back to an organization that does so much for Baltimore. Part of what we do at Blue Ocean is not only provide for our tenants, but also the Baltimore community.” says Alex Ehrenfeld, Blue Ocean’s Vice President of Business Development.

House of Ruth is a non-profit organization known primarily for providing services and advocacy support to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. They serve more than 600 women and children who are abused and homeless in Maryland. House of Ruth helps victims find housing, which is how they were introduced to us. We’re happy to help out the community!
