There was excitement in the air on February 2, 2022, when the Bingo ball was spinning at Stadium Place for the first time since the pandemic brought the games to a halt in March of 2020.
Blue Ocean team members, on behalf of BlueCares, the community-focused initiative of Blue Ocean, were on hand to host games with GEDCO in support of their mission around developing affordable housing and supportive services to the Baltimore community. Players enjoyed the fun, while Blue Ocean was on hand to provide camaraderie, food, and drinks. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Blue Ocean volunteers to chat with residents and get to know them while joining forces with GEDCO once again. For the residents, it was a chance to reconnect with each other while playing the game they love. When the triumphant call, “BINGO!” rang out, the residents were elated – especially the winner who was able to choose their own prize from the prize table.
Blue Ocean volunteers Jessica Burchett, Stryker Sessions, Hannah Green, Shaakirah Muhammad, and Elaine Cohen were grateful to see the direct impact one of our charitable partners is making in the community and connect one on one with the team and participants.
