Year after year, the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals provides care to animals who have been mistreated, are in poor health, or have found themselves in other unfortunate circumstances. Founded on the simple notion that every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and care, the MD SPCA has been improving the lives of pets and people for the past 150 years.

We strongly believe that pets are important members of the families that take them in. That’s why we find the volunteerism and support that we can provide to such a great organization to be an important and necessary tool in improving the lives of everyone in our community. Compassion is a large part of the MD SPCA brand, and this aligns well with our values and commitment to our residents, partners, and stakeholders.

Back in January, Blue Ocean employees had the privilege of volunteering with the MD SPCA and cleaning their transport van and dog kennels. This experience opened our team’s eyes to just how extensive the organization’s efforts and commitment are. You can read all about their experience here!
