BALTIMORE, MD (February 2016) — Blue Ocean, one of Baltimore’s largest privately held multifamily property management and investment firms announced today that Erika Orlaskey has joined the multifamily division of the company as the Director of Training and Regional Manager. Erika Orlaskey comes with a wealth of experience within the multifamily industry, having spent the last ten  years at Home Properties where Erika was instrumental in significantly reducing turnover of both residents and employees. During her 14 year career, Erika has specialized in property operations, sales, training, and development of team members and communities all over the Baltimore and D.C. Markets. She has also been heavily involved with the Maryland Multi Housing Industry (MMHA) as the Chair of the Education Committee.

Remarking on her dual role, Erika comments “I am eager to focus on building value and improving performance through various training, employee development, and operational management efforts. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on the care of its communities and residents.”

Joining on the cusp of Blue Ocean’s launch of their rebranding, as Director of Training, Erika will be active in promoting the new brand consistently throughout the organization among the onsite team members. Erika will further develop Blue Ocean’s employee training and development platform. Additionally, as a Regional Manager, Erika will oversee the fiscal and operational performance of several of Blue Ocean’s multi family properties in Baltimore.
