In 2021, Blue Ocean acquired the former North Carroll County High School, dormant since 2015. We sought to revitalize this community pillar, giving homage to the decades of activity in the stalwart building, and bring it back to service as a community hub.
Rebranded as Pantherplex, the campus has become home to the Boys & Girls Club, Christiana Home School, the local Sheriff’s Office and Training Complex, and a center for holiday programming, arts and theater in partnership with Players on Air and managed by Coppermine.
In continuing our dedication to the community, Blue Cares recently contributed to Caring Carroll, which provides essential services to older adults in Carroll County. Caring Carroll is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing this support that allows the county’s elderly citizens to live independently for as long as they can.
Caring Carroll has a network of trained volunteers who provide a range of support services, including:
The volunteers come from all walks of life, but they share one crucial quality: the love of helping others.
