Blue Ocean team members once again continue to make an impact – this time, from 28 stories high! On June 3rd, Blue Ocean team members, as well as adventure seekers and kidney patients, have the opportunity to take part in once-in-a-lifetime experience. Participants will rappel down the side of one of Baltimore’s tallest skyscrapers, 201 North Charles Street – one of Blue Ocean’s very own properties! Blue Ocean generously contributed space at 201 North Charles to be used as a venue for the event. By donating the space at no cost, the non-profit organizations are able to maximize the financial impact of the event. The event is held by Chai Lifeline Mid-Atlantic, an organization that raises money to transform the lives of seriously ill children and their families, offering much needed emotional, social, and financial assistance.

Since its beginning in January 2016, the Chai Lifeline of the Mid-Atlantic organization has offered dynamic and innovative programs, and events like this one, to assist those in need. They offer strength and hope in the form of comprehensive and unparalleled case management, sibling and family programs, overnight summer camps, recreational and educational opportunities, crisis intervention and bereavement services, for the Greater Baltimore communities; all at no cost.

The 2018 Over the Edge event, taking place from 7am – 6pm on June 3rd, promises a full day of fun! The event features an all-day food extravaganza, VIP after party with a concert and wine pairing, and special musicians, including the Yechiel Newman DJs, Camp Simcha’s own DJ Jon, and Baltimore’s favorite DJ Balagan. Also, you can view live footage of rappelling participants going “Over the Edge” via GoPro and drones. Commemorative photos and great swag will be available, and much more!
